Sharon Schafer is a Boulder City artist, naturalist, wildlife biologist, and river guide. “Stunning in their clarity, her images represent scientific accuracy and superb artistic skill,” said Curator of Education, Deborah Stevenson. “From the delicate lacy edges of lichen on a rock wall to the shimmering beauty of a Painted Lady butterfly, each life form is lovingly portrayed, each brushstroke honors and protects the precious species it portrays.”
If attendance exceeds seating capacity, two multimedia presentations will be offered. Contact Deborah Stevenson, Curator of Education, at 775/687-4810, ext. 237 or dstevenson@nevadaculture.org. The reception and program are co-sponsored by Friends of Nevada State Museum and Friends of Nevada Wilderness.
