If you’re planning on doing any shopping at the Raley’s in Carson City, keep your head down. This week I went there to grab some diapers, and right outside the door were some petitioners with their yellow signature sheets, desperately trying to get Bob Beers’ Tax and Spending Control initiative on the ballot. I tried to get away from them, but there were two of them, and I couldn’t evade them both. I guess the one consolation was that a few other shoppers were able to slip by unnoticed while I held their attention. I finally ended up lying to them and telling them I wasn’t registered, just to get away.
So if you’re headed down there, keep away from the north doors. That’s where they were stationed. The south side was clear.
