These buildings were on the west side of Carson Street between Proctor and Telegraph in downtown Carson. They housed the Carson Bakery and Capitol Cafe. In the mid 20th century this part of the block was torn down and rebuilt with a larger two-story building that stretches all the way back to Curry Street. For a long time this was Murdock’s clothing store. Then it became a series of restaurants, such as B’Sghetti’s, Sassafras, and Battle Born Social. It is now Juan’s Mexican Kitchen.
