Kingsbury Grade is closed until further notice. This road, shown as SR 207 on the maps, is the main artery between Lake Tahoe and the Carson Valley. Apparently there’s a hillside that’s threatening to come down on the road, so they’ve shut everything down to do repairs.
It’ll probably be closed for a couple of days at least, so if you have to get up to the lake from Minden/Gardnerville, either drive into Carson City and take Hwy 50 up, or go down Hwy 88 through Woodfords and take Hwy 89 into Lake Tahoe.
