Snow Around Carson

The last week or so has been a big one for snowfall. In recent years Carson City has kind of fallen into a predictable pattern in the winter. We’ll get an inch or two of snow, and it will start melting pretty quickly. We don’t really have heavy winters like we used to. Every once in a while, though, a big winter comes along and reminds us of the way it used to be. This winter started out kind of slow, but in February it’s really kicked into high gear. We’ve had a couple of big snowstorms come through over the past week. There was a little melting inbetween, but it was enough to leave behind drifts of a couple of feet in parts of town. The latest storm was Saturday night, and I went out Sunday to get some photos of town under its newest blanket of snow.
