Author Gregg Townsley is working on a new series of books set in Carson City. He has announced the “W. W. Ronin Series of Westerns,” which take place in Carson City and Lake Tahoe in the 1800s. The first book, East Jesus, Nevada, deals with the mystery of some missing Washo children and will be published this summer. The follow-up, Lady of the Lake, is coming later in the fall and deals with a series of murders at Lake Tahoe. Plus it’s partially set at the Ormsby House. It sounds like the author is taking pains to get the history of Carson City and the area right, so it might be interesting to see how these books turn out. If you like Western fiction, keep an eye open for them.
