If you’re thinking of heading to downtown Carson this weekend, it’s going to be a mess. Carson Street will be closed Saturday and Sunday for the Legends of the West Bike & Car Fest. It’s a new event for Carson City, an offshoot of Street Vibrations that happens in Reno. I guess they figured there are so many Harley engines running up and down Carson Street during Street Vibrations anyway, let’s take advantage of it and have our own stages and events here too. But it’s also kind of an early Hot August Nights, as the event is not just for bikes but also for classic cars. There will be live music, shows, and parades all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday. So if you’re just trying to get around town those two days, you’ll have to find another route.
