A new Italian restaurant has opened in Minden, Marcello’s Ristorante & Bar. It is located on Ironwood Drive, right behind Danny’s restaurant. It takes over the space formerly occupied by Villa San Marcel. That space is quite a revolving door; we’ll see if Marcello’s can make it. Here’s the menu.

You mentioned the restaurant “revolving door” for this location…The way the restaurant business is, most places don’t last more than two years…
I remember when Joe Garlic’s opened with such a big splash in Carson City about 1995, and it was gone within 18 months. A friend of mine in the biz says the buffets and cheap eats in the area keep so much pressure on the restaurants the only way they can make a decent profit is to sell alcohol
and put in a few poker slots….

Yes, revolving doors for restaurants are pretty common, but I think the demographics of the valley has evolved since 1995, and we’re looking to fill a need. Fortunately, our clientele is not the “buffet and cheap eats” crowd. We offer an upper end dining experience, and yes, we have an awesome bar too. No room in our philosphy for slots, smokes or TV while you’re dining – only enjoyment of fantastic food and wine in a beautiful setting. “Who eats well, lives well.” Come by and check us out – you won’t be disappointed.(Reservations recommended)
