Minden Gateway Center Open House Includes Community Roundtable and Broker Presentation
MINDEN, NV, APRIL 21, 2008 ? Douglas County residents and commercial real estate brokers can preview the highly-anticipated Minden Gateway Center during a May 8th Community Open House at the Minden CVIC Hall (Carson Valley Improvement Club). The Hall is located at 1602 Esmeralda Avenue in Minden. The Commercial Broker Presentation begins at 4:00 p.m. and the Community Roundtable is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. and ends at 7:00 p.m. The event, hosted by the Minden Gateway Center development team, not only provides the community with project status updates and an opportunity to exchange information, attendees also will enjoy hors’d oeuvres, entertainment and prizes.
Located on the corner of Highways 395 and 88, Minden Gateway Center is situated on a 13.3-acre parcel, and will offer a variety of attractive dining and shopping opportunities. According to Jeffrey Lowden, Managing Director, Sky West Investments, “For 12 years, Minden residents have anticipated the development of this prime corner in their community from other property owners. Since we purchased this land last summer, we have been moving full speed ahead and are pleased to announce that this project is off and running.” Lowden added, “Within a matter of months, residents will be able to enjoy an inviting new lifestyle center with specialty stores, delicious dining selections and health and wellness services.”
The management team reports that they are currently talking to over 75 retail prospects who have expressed serious interest in leasing a space or buying a parcel at Minden Gateway Center, and expect to make an announcement soon regarding the major anchor stores and services. “The exciting thing is that the Center will offer a wide selection of goods and services and serious interest has been expressed in all categories,” added Lowden. “These categories include fashion, dining, wellness, health and fitness, learning and hotel and office among others.”

“Carson Valley residents spend over $85 million dollars a year on shopping and services outside of the Minden and Gardnerville area,” Lowden continued. “We would like Minden Gateway Center to be part of the solution in regards to providing quality shopping and lifestyle services to area residents. Additionally, we anticipate that the Center will generate a variety of jobs for locals as well as enhance the retail and dining experience for both residents and visitors.” It is projected that the Center will generate over $40-$50 million dollars in economic activity for the community.
If you are a commercial real estate broker and plan to attend the event, please RSVP to Cora Hansen, Century 21 Clark Properties at 775.783.7356.
