And the dance continues. The old Super Kmart building has been sold again, after the developer who bought it in 2006 ended up taking a $5 million bath without ever developing anything. The new owner says they’re hard at work finding tenants to move into the building, but we’ve all heard that story before. Who knows.
Time for a Big lots
They should open a big place for kids, indoor mini golf, skate/bike ramps, arcaid, and whatever else kids like to do. There is not much in Carson for kids and I think it would be a great idea and so do most the people I talk to.
This place might be interesting to re-visit. It really is not looking great and seems to have no hope as retail. It reminds me a bit of the closed North Carson St cinema. For me, it screams out to be torn down and converted into condos or apartment. I can’t think of a bigger standing building ghost in Carson City, apart from Ormsby House. Maybe then the old Grocery Outlet building?
I really like the site, thanks for continuing to post.
