News came out last week that the new DMV office in Gardnerville is going to be closed. But there are things happening at the old DMV office too, the one that the agency vacated last fall when they moved out of Minden. Crews are on site this week tearing down the old facade, prepping for some kind of remodel.
Douglas County owns this building now, so I’m not sure what use they’re going to be putting it to. They apparently thought it was too ugly to leave as is.
