The V&T Railroad tracks have reached the Hwy 50 bridge. But there’s still no deal with the Grays to run trains this summer. John Tyson wants to bring the #18 here to start making runs from Gold Hill to Mound House, but with no passenger cars, no ticket office, and no maintenance facilities that should be a lot of fun.
There’s also no mention in the article of the Linehan Road crossing. There’s supposed to be a full grade crossing with signals and gates there, but when I went three months ago they hadn’t even started work on it. I guess maybe I’ll have to head out there again to see the progress.
Yes, working out a deal with the Gray’s might be to logical!!
