The scaffolding has come down on the Sportsman’s Warehouse, finally showing the new facade. I still don’t understand why they tore down this half of the Wal-Mart building, only to rebuild it on what looks to be the exact same footprint. But if they want to spend the extra money, that’s their choice. Although it’s actually our money, since they’re using redevelopment incentives from the city to do this construction.
This project seemed like a dubious one from Day one..tearing down 50% of the old Wal Mart (the building was about 14 years old-to build a nearly exact replica at the same site?) This seemed like a two step…Someone will probably get a deal on the new building…
