Progress marches on. Another empty lot in Gardnerville is being bulldozed and built on. This time it’s the lot across the street from the Raley’s, adjacent to Lampe Park. The very corner of this lot was already developed a couple of years ago, when a Walgreen’s went up at the corner of 395 and Waterloo Lane. Now the rest of it is being prepped to build The Center @ Waterloo, a new office-retail development. An old house on the property has been razed, and the rest of it was until recently just trees and weeds.
