There was a pretty large plume of smoke rising up from behind the hills to the east of town today, but I didn’t have my camera with me so I couldn’t grab any shots of it. According to the Nevada Appeal it’s been named the Badger Fire, and even though the smoke had mostly disappeared by dusk it was still growing. We’ll have to see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully they can put this one out before Carson’s East Side faces what the West Side just went through last year.
