Man shot dead in his Johnson Lane home.
Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies say 36-year-old Benjamin Oxley was murdered early Thursday morning. He died from a gunshot wound at his home on Wildhorse Lane.
All questions that remain unanswered. Terrified neighbors say the home had a history.
"The day before, there were cops there for somebody stealing property, so it's a little scary in our neighborhood," said Oxley's neighbor, Bob Wilson.
This is two blocks from my house. I saw the police tape strung around the street this morning before the story had broken.

My uncle was not only a uncle, he was also a dad, son, brother, husband, and a friend to many. Its hard for everyone to wake up in the morning and know he is not going to be there, not being able to see his face anymore except in pictures, not being able to say hi to him or that we love him, and not being able to see him again untill we get to heaven. Everyone will be going through a hard time and will be missing him a lot, but just remeber that he is always with us even if we dont see him. My uncle was a great guy. He will be in everyones heart forever. WE LOVE YOU UNCLE BEN AND WE WILL MISS YOU. R.I.P.
love always,
vickie
