Virginia City has approved installation of two large welcoming signs along C Street, one at each end of town. The signs, which can be seen above, were formerly located at Boomtown, outside Reno along I-80. Boomtown doesn’t want them anymore, so the Yesco sign company agreed to donate them to Virginia City to use as welcoming signs to the Comstock.
Now that all the approvals are in place, installation of the signs could begin in February. They’re still planning the artwork to put on the sign; the picture above is just a Photoshopped idea of one possibility.
