It’s almost starting to feel like winter around here. Arguably it’s feeling even more like winter up at Lake Tahoe, where they woke to three inches of snow yesterday. But even down in the valleys the temperatures are dropping below the freezing mark overnight and car windows are iced over in the mornings. Fog has even been swallowing up large portions of the Carson Valley in the mornings. Just look at the picture above and see the cottonwoods sticking up out of the mist.
And yesterday we had overcast skies and a slight drizzle all day. It reminded me of being in Seattle. After a long dry summer you definitely start to miss the rain, so it’s good to see that we’re starting to get some moisture and cool temperatures. It’s about time.
