Our last look at Carson Street starts at Telegraph Street and goes north. Along this stretch of road there never was any landscaped median in the middle of the road, just a center lane that can be used for turns. The new road configuration is going to keep this center lane. So along here the changes will be less drastic, but there will still be wider sidewalks, parallel parking, and other traffic calming measures to get people to slow down. The road work will extend all the way to William Street (Hwy 50), although this photo essay stops at Washington.

Now that work has started on the new road, keep checking back for some construction updates as everything we’ve seen here gets torn out this summer and replaced.
