Over the last week Carson City held its third annual Murals & Music Festival. This was started in 2023, and so far they’ve kept their promise of making it an annual thing. I’ve noticed some repeat artists who are coming back every year to create new murals. And downtown is quickly filling up with art. The official map claims that 73 new murals have been added, most from the three years of the festival but some in the previous decade or so.

So let’s take a look at this year’s new murals. I went out and photographed 16 new ones this year. A map is available that includes art from all three years so you can see where they’re located around town.
