Looks like the architect watched too much Jetsons in his mis-spent youth as he created this affront to the visual aesthetic. It also seems like the Ormsby County Planning Department and the Board of Supervisors were too eager to sacrifice the architectural integrity of Carson City for the quick bucks. A good many of Carson City's biggest assets, its historic buildings, have been demolished or altered beyond recognition over the years, but the 1960's must rank as one of the most egregious decades for the transformation of Old Town. What was once an architecturally coherent and true representation of Western Americana now must suffer the indignity of blight such as this travesty.
