The Arlington Hotel was for many years the retail hub of downtown Carson with numerous shops and restaurants on the street level. The hotel's dining room and bar were the scene of many of Carson City' historic events. The hotel was mentioned countless times in the Alf Doten Journals written by Walter Van Tilburn Clark.
