V&T Railroad Shops in 1939

View Smaller

The Virginia and Truckee Railroad shops stood in Carson City, near the present day corner of Stewart and Washington Streets. This view from 1939 shows the many V&T engines steaming up, ready for another hard day of work. Within 11 years, the railroad would go out of business.
