Arendt Jensen Jr. House

1423 A & B Eddy Street, Gardnerville, NV

Constructed in 1932.

This was the home of Arendt Jensen Jr. and his wife Minnie. His father, Arendt Jensen Sr., was one of Gardnerville's most prosperous citizens, and he had already built himself a large mansion at the north end of Eddy Street. In 1932 he gave this land, right next door to his house, to his son and built this house for him and his new wife. Within three years, Arendt Jr. was dead. But Minnie lived a long life, and stayed in this house until her death in 1991.

The house is now home to the offices of Chase, Sheets and Neiger, Certified Public Accountants. In 2004 a bronze plaque was placed outside as part of the Gardnerville Historic Walking Tour.
