St. Charles Hotel

302 S Carson St, Carson City, NV

Constructed in 1862.

One of the oldest hotels in Carson City, not to mention the entire state of Nevada, is the St. Charles Hotel in Carson City. In fact, there are actually two hotels here. The northern, three-story section is the St, Charles, while the southern section, only two stories, was historically known as the Muller hotel. This building predates even the Nevada State Capitol building, although the builders had the foresight to pick a location close to where the capitol was going to be built.
