Every summer Minden throws a series of concerts in Minden Park, under the bandstand. It’s a good excuse for the community to get together, have a picnic, and listen to some music. Although it’s been a couple of years since we’ve made it to one of the concerts, I still post the lineup here every Spring. It’s a tradition going back to one of the first posts on Around Carson. The kickoff for the concert series is Memorial Day weekend, and we’ll probably miss it again, because we’re driving home from L.A. that day. But if anyone does go, don’t hesitate to tell me all about it!

- July 15 — Evolution (a tribute to Journey)
