The Nevada Appeal has a guide to some of the upcoming Halloween/Nevada Day events coming up over the couple of weeks. They also have a look at Halloween night, where First Lady Dawn Gibbons will be handing out candy at the Governor's Mansion, even though she and the governor are in the middle of divorce proceedings.
Plus the Travel Nevada blog brings this video of last year's Nevada Day parade.
I see gas was $3.01/gallon in the background of this picture. Now that it's a year later and the price of a barrel of oil is less than it was last year when the photo was taken, why is a gallon of gas still far above the price in a picture? Something is smelly and it's not unleaded fumes.
Welcome to Around Carson. This is a new experiment for the Carson area, a website that's entirely built by its readers. Read more about the site, or jump in and start contributing!
