Things are coming along over here in Around Carson Land. I have a lot of stuff in my head, and I just need to sit down and figure out how to transform the ideas into a usable site. Some of the things on my mind are restaurant reviews, a photo upload and viewing section, adding comments to each and every page on the site, and some way to let everyone be able to post to the main blog.
For that last one, I want some way to integrate the user authentication systems of Movable Type and PHPBB, but I haven’t found it yet. I’ve thought of using Geeklog to control the site, because that would unify the logins. But then the whole site is owned by the Geeklog system, and it’s all created dynamically and things just get ugly.
And the design for the header is mostly done, but I still need to figure how things beneath it, you know, the main meat of the page, are going to look. So there’s a lot to be done, but hopefully I can get a few major sections up and running so the site is at least usable, if not pretty.
The forums work, obviously!!
